NetEnt’s First Pair of Games Under New Product Line Now in Online Casinos

NetEnt just released Berryburst last August 23. This new fruit-themed slot is the first title to have a MAX counterpart under NetEnt’s new product line called MAX Bigger Hits.

Berryburst is a mobile-compatible slot that features three rows and five reels spinning in an abyss of fruit juice. Players can set their bets between 0.10 and 200 coins for a chance to win up to 5,000 times their stakes through the title’s Cluster Pays system.

This NetEnt slot highlights citrus fruits that serve as the game’s symbols: Orange Tangerine, Green Lime, Purple Berry, and Red Raspberry. Other symbols that fill the reels are three typical card icons: Spades, Hearts, and Diamonds. An expanding Wild, represented by the Ice Cube, is also present in-game.

Cluster Pays and Expanding Wilds with Re-Spins

Berryburst utilizes Cluster Pays which is one of NetEnt’s signature slot features. The reels do not have any paylines. Instead, matches are counted when at least five like symbols stand adjacent to each other after a spin. Other than the pay system that is based on clusters of same symbols, the game also provides Expanding Wilds with a re-spin. This feature pays up to 5,000 coins on a spin.

When a Wild lands on any reel, it automatically expands and triggers a re-spin of the non-Wild reels. If another Wild lands on another reel during re-spin, this again activates the Expanding Wild feature. But if no more Wilds appear, the slot resets to the base game.

Berryburst vs Berryburst MAX

Berryburst, together with BerryBurst MAX, debuts NetEnt’s MAX Bigger Hits, a new product line featuring pairs of games that offer players different win potentials. Each pair of games presents the regular version and the MAX version of a particular title, the former being ideal for casual players and the latter for high rollers.

Henrik Fagerlund, Chief Product Officer of NetEnt, said:

“It is important for us to diversify the volatility in our games as we know that our partners are demanding more flexible games catering to different player needs, and we are a supplier that listens to our customers and deliver quality.

“We are certain that the MAX releases will add another dimension to our already hugely popular portfolio, and we are pleased to increase the standard of the gameplay experience for players.”

Berryburst and Berryburst MAX, although classified differently, take on the same gameplay and design, except they offer different paytables and return-to-player (RTP) ratios. Berryburst has a 96.56% RTP with a maximum payout of 5,000 times the player’s bet while Berryburst MAX has a lower 96.23% RTP but a jackpot of 10,000 times the stakes.

With two volatility level choices for the same slot, conservative and aggressive players can easily decide which version is right for them. Berryburst and its MAX counterpart are now available in NetEnt’s partner casinos.
